Doubled our CV (Cat Volume) - went from 0 to 2 in 2 wks flat! :-)

Well thank you to everyone who gave me some AWESOME litter tips...I'm doing a bunch of research based on the info you guys gave me and it's helped a lot! I posted about 2 weeks ago about our new kitty (who we've renamed Sao (say-o) ) BECAUSE *drum roll* we now own her twin, as well. They were miserable apart. Since they're Siamese mixes, we've named them in Thai (The language of the old kingdom of Siam) Chai (kie) and Sao (say-o) which means...brother and sister :-).

Chai is a lot more personable than Sao which is good because she still seems to be afraid of us. I don't mind, as I've said before I have absolutely nothing that I require of her other than that she eat, drink, poop, pee, and stays happy...and now that we've brought Chai home I think we can guarantee that last one. I walked out into the living room last night and they were curled up together on the sofa....priceless :-). It's going to be a bit of a strain to have two of them, but nothing we can't handle (i am the budget QUEEN!) and it will make a huge difference in the quality of life of both of them, so it's all worth it. I'll have to take a picture soon so you guys can see the twins :-).

And yes for whoever asked if Sao (formerly Suki) is a ragdoll mix, the previous owner THINKS so....so, right on the money! :-). Ragdoll/Siamese...my research says that's a good combo...I agree, so far!

Anyway thanks for the tips guys I just wanted to share...I can hear Chai and Sao jingling around the living room right now, which is more "jingling" than Sao's done since we got her..so I guess his presence has made her much more comfortable :-).

the picture I included is Sao --- I'll take a picture of Chai later.

Snowshoe? I'll have to look that up thank you nancyjac!!!

Thank you opus! I just couldn't imagine keeping them apart after hearing how miserable her brother was...and I realized that she was having trouble too. I had just attributed it to her being shy, but once it was pointed out I recognized the classic signs of grief...she was missing her twin!

they're so happy now and they're never apart for more than a minute. last night they were both sitting on the couch with us....unheard of! :-)

Very pretty. She looks more like a snowshoe to me.  Snowshoes were originally bred by crossing a Siamese with an American bi-color.

oh aren't you a doll to keep a brother and sister together, thats special of you Ashelen!!
I'm the one that suggested she is a 'ragdoll' if you look at my profile pic's of my former TIA who was also a ragdoll they look identical...their personality is very gentle laid back and shy, where the siamese is outgoing, active and a bit aggressive, so it will be interesting to see what a mix of the two breeds brings out..
looking forward to seeing some pictures!!
