You have me in tears right now. I don't know what to say. This is so sad!! I am sorry. Don't feel silly. I love my cats like a mother loves her children. I don't know what I'd do without my Abby, or my baby boy Dillan. You did for him what not everyone would do. You gave him peace for once; and I'm sure Charlie appreciates that, because he wasn't really a happy kitty in the end.
God bless you!
Let me start by saying "Thank you" just for reading my post, and responding..
I took Charlie in on mon for his weekly B-12 shot, it helped with his appitite, and I had been noticing what looked to me, having trouble getting in a full breath...and every time we went to the vet, he wouldnt do it there, so they never saw it...but on that day, they did....and they told me that he was in early stages of resp. distress....and we had made a promise to each other, (me and my vets) that when they thought it was time, they'd tell me...and on that day, they did...I was devestated...I left him in the pet hospital, safest place to be in case of emergency, and I called my husband, and rode out to my families homes on the beach to make my decision...the HARDEST one Ive ever made.As his Mom, I made the decision to let him go...Charlie and I had a bond like a mother and a child, to some that might sound silly, as he was only a cat, but not to me...he was my love of my life, as I did everythng for him...and it was my love that I drew my strength from to make my decision....he is in gods hands now, and will be back home with me tomorrow, as I had him cremated, and I have a shelf for him in my home, dedicated to just him, with his picture, a lock of his hair, and his ashes....and when I pass, our ashes will be combined, and we will be together again..Thank you for letting me express my feeling, as my wound is very fresh, as it hasnt even been 48 hrs since my baby crossed...

Huh??? How did this happen? I can't believe it!!!!
Oh, I am so sorry. I'm heart broken over this news. Charlie must have been a very special boy, and God wanted your baby in His arms! When your heart heals, maybe you'll be able to adopt a new furry baby.
I hope you've read the Rainbow Bridge poem. I really love that poem!! My mom's got 8 cats and has that poem hanging up in her bedroom!! =D
Lots of hugs and warm wishes to you!!! God bless you!!!

Thanks all for input and advice....Charlie crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, I am SOOOO sad right now
Hi, I've got an idea!!! You should think seriously about getting a head CT scan, that will give you a whole heck of a lot more info than an x-ray will. Yes, it's a little expensive, but it will give some answers. It will give you so much more detail!!! It might shed some light on why poor Charlie can't get rid of his infection. In people, a growth (possible polyp) can block the sinuses and cause repeated sinus infections.
This might be worth mentioning to your vet.
Hugs

I understand hon, that you want your kitty to feel better. I'd be frustrated, too!! This is so sad. Is his nasal discharge from both nostrils? Has the vet checked his teeth???? Has he looked for a tumor??
Let me tell you, sometimes, nasal discharge is a birth defect. It is rare but it can happen. Your cat may very well have been born with this defect. You got any plants at home?

OH. and I forgot...head Xray too....nothing, clear as a bell...see what I mean? Total frustration here...
Hi, thanks...I have already printed out all the info about these homeopathic nose drops and taken it to my vet (Sat.) and he wanted to do some reading about it first, I have already ordered it, but will wait for his OK or not. And Charlie has been like this over a year...3 vets, and $2000 later, still no answers as to what and why...tests negative for disease, labs are good cept for white count, and we have tried all meds that his culture was sensative to...nothing works....this is why Im SO frustrated, even my own vet calls Charlie " 1 big question mark" They just dont know...This is why im posting all over the internet, for suggestions, opinions, or advice...Im desperate to help my little buddy, I love him soooo much, we have a bond now nothing could break...Thanks for everything.

aaww Angel, I have not heard of this product. Could you ask your vet about it? I know you can call the office and leave this same information as a message to the vet. Then the vet can call you back and asnwer that question for you. Or you can send the same thing you wrote as a fax, call them and let them know that such fax is actually a question you have.
I hope somebody on this forum can answer this question for you.
How long has he been like this?
Poor Charlie. I am so sorry about this. I hope you will find the cure for your little fella rather soon :)
