First fur balls...

Just met my first fur ball yesterday morning
If was from Loreena, maybe she returns eating more...
Doubts:
1-Do the fur balls came alone ( that was) or together with predigested food?
They had last food at 9pm and the ball was found by 8am
2-Do cats eat their own vomit? I read this somewhere.
3-Malt past for fur balls its a little expensive as well, since its a product for continuos use.
-Is there some domestic/alternative product for avoiding those?
I already brush everybody almost everyday, just bought a new plastic stuff for, they loved but I do prefer the old brush , the new stuff is good for massage and for then to bite and play with (kids) but dont get the fur away properly,
No regret,it was very cheap and I can use the old while they  are distracted with that...

I will write up the paragraph in my book.
"hairballs are indigestible protein, made up of 15-30% fat. enzymes can't penetrate the coating around hairballs. most over the counter products grease the intestinal tract. LECITHIN works as an emulsifier, fighting the fat in the hairball to break it up. adding a small amount of fiber(psyllium husks or natural pumpkin) and lecithin from raw egg yolks(not from soy).
fiber and egg yolk lecithin also work well to prevent hairballs from forming."

I give Nemo both in his cooked diet that I prepare and have seen a marked decrease in his vomiting hairballs.
note only use about 1 yolk per pound of food. therefore probably only about 1/4 yolk per day for each cat(or less depending on how much they eat)
since you have 3 cats it would be easy to just take out a portion of the yolk than divide the remainder between them, it will also help with a shinny sleek coat...caution tho don't use the raw egg white....

no I've never seen a cat eat its own vomit.

good luck
