Help! Cat has possible fever and third eyelid showing?

For the last couple days my cat's eyes have looked funny.  I can't pinpoint exactly what's going on but his pupils look weird.  Also his third eyelid is showing and I'm pretty sure that he is running a fever.  His nose is just barely moist and fairly warm.  Also he has been passing a lot of gas for the last couple days.  He has been laying around a bit more than normal but has been eating and drinking well.  What should I do for him?  Do you think I need to take him to the vet?

Please let us know what the vet said. Poor kitty.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your response.  I wish cats could talk and let you know how they are feeling.  He is my baby and I just want him to be alright.  I'll let you know what the vet says.

That's good to hear.  Even if kitty seems fine in the morning, he should be seen anyway just to be on the safe side.  His pupils looking odd is of great concern.  Good luck and please do let us know how your boy is after the vet.

I live in an area where there is no emergency vet nearby.  He seems to be acting alright and has wanted to lay on my lap most of the evening. I think that he may have eaten something because he really is having a lot of gas.  I probably will take him to the vet first thing in the morning.

Oh Yes, absolutely get him to the vet right away!  He may have a head injury, he may have eaten something he shouldn't, just impossible to say.  I would take him to an ER if I were you.
