Hi Babes, Opus and PrettyKitty are right, she does need plenty of rest. I've got 3 cats and i absolutely adore each one, ther my babies and ther spoilt totally, im absolutely Kitty Krazy, that should be my name really. Wen ever anything has happened to them with cuts etc....the boys especially with fighting other cats, i always use boiled water cooled down so its tepid and a tiny little bit of salt, but only a tiny bit, and clean the wound or stitches in ur case babes, ive been using this method for 1yr to 16yrs on them and its worked a treat. Your always advised to ring the vet if its still looking a bit dodgy. She needs to be left alone to heal. Ive got 2 boys Felix and Oscar and 1 girl Saffy(short for Sapphire) and theyve all been done and been fine babes because i let them hav time to heal, I made up a tempory bed for them so they wer really comfy, made sure they had plenty of water and food and bobs ur uncle, sorted. I know how u feel babes and its sooo worryin but she'll be ok and like PrettyKitty said they do heal very quickly. All the Best Babes and Good Luck! Let me know how shes doing Babe xXx

Yes, definitely. I agree with Opus. As long as you are watching her there is no need for a collar unless she becomes really stubborn and decides to lick the stitches no matter what. Those collars are just awful to me, to be honest. They (the kitties) look so miserable. But it's gotta be done so she'll recover. Cats heal fast! So you might end up not having to use that collar real soon.

Take good care of her. Nice of you spaying your kitty. Good job. I can tell you spoil her :)
Let us know how she is doing. Good luck!

what prettykitty said is right the kitty needs as little excitement as possible for a few days, if she isn't bleeding today thats a good sign, watch the area to make sure it doesn't become red with pus forming that would indicated an infection also is she starts refusing her food.
Yes with supervision definitely remove her collar for a short while so she can eat and drink properly....those collars make it so hard to get to their bowls....but keep watch so she doesn't lick at her stitches.
good luck, call the Vet if there is anymore bleeding or if incision becomes red and sore looking please.

do you think I remove her collar for a short time at morning , to clean herself or not?with my supervision that she can't bite her stitches.

Put the collar back on.
Put the cat in a room where she can't jump up and down. She needs as much rest as possible.
Call the vet tomorrow first thing and let them know what is going on.

As far as what you can do to treat her at home I'm not sure. But at least getting some rest will prevent the worst from happening. Infection is very common but shouldn't really happen. Put her in a blanket if she likes that, provide food and water and no toys...and lock her up so she won't jump or run. Keep the area dry. I hope the bleeding will stop before daylight.

Sorry kitty is going through this. You need to call the vet.
