How many ounces of wet food per day?

Samantha is 4-years-old (some of you may remember her from last year when she had hearing issues) and she eats two 3-ounce cans of wet food (wellness minced turkey and salmon) per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. She also has free-range dry (I am aware of the cons of dry food; she eats only a very small amount and her primary diet it wet).  However, she is begging for more wet food. She usually gets her second can of wet around 6 but by 4 in the afternoon she is whining for food. I don't want to overfeed her - she is 12 pounds and not very active. 6 ounces should be sufficient, shouldn't it?

Really depends on the cat, some of mine have huge appetites others less so, if she is asking for more than I would allow it...12 lbs isn't overweight by any means, plus I have found over the years when feeding a good diet like you are, doing most cats don't over eat. It's mainly the high carbs, gravies and grains that aren't adding to the nutrition but are adding up the pounds
Give it a go, if you think she is getting to heavy by doing so I would cut back the free feeding dry.
Btw, did she manage to regain some or all of her hearing??
