It sounds as if your little girl could definately be in heat. A couple of positive signs... is she rubbing her hind end against you or furniture, toys, etc. Is she licking herself more often than usual. Is her mewing more often and louder than normal?
Some cats can go into heat as early as 4 mo, but this is not the norm. Usually around 6 mo (give or take a couple of weeks) is when they go into their first heat cycle.
If she is indeed in heat, the Vet will probably recommend waiting a couple of weeks until she is finished with this cycle before spaying. But remember, cats can go into another cycle as early as 3-4 weeks after the last cycle.
I agree with Prettykitty. You need to have her seen by a Vet just to make sure what is gonig on and that it is not a larger problem and also talk to him about when to get her spayed.
You may want to take her to the vet and get her spayed after this heat cycle. I think she is definitely in heat thus her odd behavior. I would not get her spayed while she is in heat and any good vet would tell you that. Just try to keep up with her 'til this ends, and then rush her to the vet. After she gets spayed you will not have any more problems like this. But, because I am a bit anal...I would personally get her checked and talk to a vet ASAP. Just to be on the safe side.
Good Luck.
