ah! Sara, you know me too well!!!!!!
The neighbor is now cleaning the house. She has been taking pictures of the cat, sending them to her friends, and then calling them to see what they think of her. I can tell she is in love with that kitty. She will be taking her to the vet tomorrow for vaccinations and check-up. She wants to declaw her. I didn't give her my opinion on that. If that is a stray cat and if this cat is 2-4 years old like I am suspecting she is, then I would get Soft Paws; but I really didn't want to say anything because I don't know the girl too well to suggest that to her. I don't want to offend anybody. And any how, she loves her new kitty and I'm glad she will be spaying her and taking good care of her. Everything will be good for that kitty.
That is great that this cat has found a home. If she is pg why do i get the feeling YOU will be having a kitty to introduce to us!!!!!!!
I actually got some good news. My neighbor will keep her. She lives downstairs on the second floor, and she has fallen in love with the cat. She will take the cat to the vet on Monday and she currently has the cat in her apartment. She came to my house for a little bit to get some tips on how to care for a cat. I gave her a scratching post and some toys. She got a litter box for the kitty and some food. The cat used the box as if she was a pro. I am very happy with this. That is one lucky kitty.
If you discover she is infact preggo, and if you can give her a warm place to give birth and raise the little ones for a few weeks, it would probably be life/death for the kittens. Then you can post an add on kijiji.com for your city, and list as Free Kittens! They will go like hotcakes (or cute kittens)! ;)
Good luck, and I hope she does well, whatever happens!
I hope all goes well with her and her kittens to be, if she is preg.
A shame that the owner just ditched her. We think that's what happened with Sahib. Someone had him, then just ditched him.
He adopted my grandma and she got him neutered. Bothers me that people not only ditch their pets, but they ditch them intact, which adds to the stray cat population.
I'd love a kitten, but we have two cats and right now we can't take in all the strays that come by... I wanted to steal the neighbor's steel blue smoky long-hair, but I couldn't. I haven't seem him out this winter, but the summer time he was outside just about all the time. He was the summer before. He was very friendly and loved me petting him. Last summer very timid and wouldn't let me near him. I believe he must have gotten abused when he was outside. I wish we could have taken himn in before he got so timid, but once again, there was only so much we could do.
I don't know if I'll get to keep her. Maybe animal control will pick her up. I would not know what to do with her and the kittens. I have to think of that. Hmm....
I mean I'd love to keep all stray cats that show up at my door but I can't. And taking them to the shelter will not be a good option. I'll knock on people's doors see if they want kittens if I had to.
I would love one! Skunkie would hate it! I told you how she was with that sweet, docile male-Mo Mo. If she doesn't like him, then she won't like anyone! ={
So, you plan on keeping her AND one of her babies? Your hubby will be PO'd. Better start buttering him up.....NOW! Do what you gotta do! Cooking, booty, etc.
I looked at her teeth and based on that, and her structure, she may be 2-4 years old. I also think she is pregnant. If she is, only time will tell. Behavior wise, she is behaving like a pregnant cat. I thought she was in heat because she was just so loving. But now that she wants to come in, eats like a pig, and has that weird looking stomach, I'd say she may be pregnant. We'll see. If she is.....would you like a kitten? I accept visa, mastercard and paypal.
I am definitely keeping one.........................................not sure if I'll be able to keep the husband!!!
She doesn't look overly thin. Maybe she's so hungry because she's pregnant. I was only guessing that she was prego before. How old do you think she is? She looks petite.
Sara,
This is the cat......
This is a cat that has shown up at your door steps??
The papers said: Found an orange and black cat. Very loving, female, very nice.
Someone is definitely trying to find her owner. My guess would be the owner is very irresponsible. But it's not a surprise. Oh, and she eats a lot........
You said someone posted flyers up. Are you sure they weren't about her?
I think so too. I talked to my husband about it. If she is, then she will have her babies here, definitely here and I'll get her some vitamins. I think the main reason she wants a house is to be able to give birth in a safe place. You know how they get when they know they're pregnant. My husband took this picture. I think he likes the cat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll post another picture of her see if you can see better if she is prego or not.
I think I see some gut! She looks like she's knocked up!
