Kitten experiencing right rear leg weakness after spay

I have never had a cat before and I just got my 5 month old kitten spayed 4 days ago and she is experiencing weakness in her right rear leg. I wasn't sure if this was due to muscle weakness due to the incision or if they could have possibly caused nerve damage. I can't seem to find anything online about this, so I figured I would see if anyone knew anything. The vet wont be open until Monday so I can't call, but I will call then if it doesn't get any better.

so sorry to hear of kitties problems.....can you find out or do you know what anesthetics and pain meds were used prior to or during surgery?
I think there is a huge connection here. I will try to find the time to get more info for you later today, I am into this myself right now b/c one of mine needs to go under and I'm finding bad results from some of the common medications used....♥

I'm not sure what you mean by weakness.  Is she limping or otherwise favoring that leg?  Is she leaning to one side?  Is it tender to touch?  It could be anything form something stuck in her paw pad to an injury to something causing a balance problem. Did you notice it immediately after surgery?  Has it gotten any better or worse since then?  Did she get any injections in that leg/hip area?

I can't even begin to make guesses on what could be causing the leg weakness.  I've had cats a long time and haven't seen that one yet.  If I were you, I would call an emergency vet to get their advice.  They wouldn't mind you calling them.

Please, let me know what you find out.
