You don't find that they then pee in the newspaper basket? I remember that problem from when I was a kid. Our nice newspaper basket got a rotted bottom from all the peeing the kittens did in it. lol
Thankyou for rescuing these desperate kittens. I didn't need any more rescue cats either. But I rescued a bunch from the local council & they were going to be 'put down' after 8 days of advertising for homes. I paid & took the lot. So now I never look on Websites of such. Established Cats can be jealously protective of their home territory. They also understand a new addition Cat needs a home. New cats can give out signals that it needs a home like the rest. They all are saying "please take me in, I like this home". I have a fabulous brand of dry food I buy that does not cause urinary probs. I also give some wet can food with & add some water with. All desexed, give good wormers occasionally, Frontline Plus flea spotters. Really, they are not much cost. And Cats will do their 'business" (poos) just in a tray lined with newspaper or magazine paper. Not shredded. Cheaper than the pebbles. Homes are hard to find. Pls relent for Kitty! You really won't notice one more much, but praise yourself throughout. Good people think of others. Particularly Animals.
What a pretty little kitty, gives one a reason to hang on to life for as many more years as she needs, don't it?
I'm only 57, thought I'd never take in kittens again. Had planned on adopting only senior cats, like Teia.
Then I saw the report about the Manada Street hoarding situation in Harrisburg, PA...fell in love with Buff and Cooper.
Found out a couple days ago from the vet that has been the angel in treating these rescued little beings that they expected Buff was going to lose his left rear left.
I think he bombs around the house for sheer joy at being able to bomb around.
Cooper is much more reserved, a very sweet boy.
Opus, thanks for make me feel so young : Im just 47 yet ;-)
And girls are just 5 ... Maybe I can get new kittens in the future!
Not going anywhere anytime soon.....just thinking ahead:) thank you as always for your very kind words!!
Yup, maybe she did come to us for a reason....we all needed a little excitement in our lives...feelin younger already lol.
My boys are 10 & 11, and I'm 64.....and same with us, when I go, they go...hope that's not offensive to anyone but it's reality, hard enough to home kittens let alone senior cats with health issues
You know my thinking......She came into in your life for a reason
Maybe just to say you and your boy's have a lot more time here than you think. You are just too valuable to too many to be going anywhere but here with us in your role as YODA!
Of course if you could find another little friend for her.....maybe the person you "sorta know" will be willing to take her with her brother?
I think she will make you all feel YOUNG AGAIN!!!!!!
My Meezy is only 9 years old but she goes when I go, and I am 63. I could go tomorrow. Age is "just a number"

aww thx everyone, she's not hard to fall in love with....
so many issues to overcome tho...I am 'older' with many health problems, so are my boys...I thought perhaps we are all in our last few years and would be ready all abt the same time...I have in my will for them to be euthanized and ashes spread with mine, should I go first, now to add a young one...what would become of her, theres no one but us???
enough on that!!
I am trying very hard to make my boys accept her....many short exposures together, she is so lonely and loves every second with them, would love to cuddle and play....on a bright note, Sami did actually play a sneak and peak game with her today...she was over joyed!! and only a couple 'back off' hisses, she is learning her place quickly.
Nemo is cooler towards her, is curious but timid and doesn't like to play at the best of times..so will take longer
CML...she is not a real tortie...just many orange colors running wild through her tabby coat...her face is kinda half and half :)
found myself calling her squirt a few times today...lol
yes I was jealous of Pip too....
OMG! NOT YOU YODA!!!!!!
Questioning if you should keep this adorable little fuzz ball?????
What are the odds someone "better" than you is going to take care of this kit as well as you could.
OHHHHH NOOOOOO! I am afraid you are Mama Cat now to little "TORI THE TORTI" LOL, boy did this little one fall into heaven on earth.
I know you worry about Nemo, as it should be, he is your #1, but if anyone can get these two cooking it is you.
She is just Gorgeous. She does not look like a "Torti" though---send more pics (Yea, that's one way of getting to see more of her ) we need to be SURE !. LOL!!!
I AM SO JEAULOUS of you and PIP!
I sure hope NEMO gives his PAW of approval on this one. I know she has already snatched a big piece of your heart.
So as for me --I vote YES--let's keep her and share all of her "Kitteness" with the rest of us. I live through others vicariously, since Meezy, would not be a good candidate for me to bring another cat into our home, especially a fragile little kitten--BOO HOO!
YAY Tori.....Welcome to our world!
P>S> (no pressure though, hee, hee!!)
Luv to you and your gang

PIP has kittens, you just got one ---unh - I have to be strong and keep satisfied with the ones I have at the fair ...
Btw, the second of OUR 4 kittens ( the ones they left in front of the place the Adoption fair is held) was adopted las saturday.
Oh she is adorable! She looks like a Caroline or a Deelailah to me. Those seem like rambunctions little girl names lol. I like Tori though, that's cute!
So nice of you to rescue her! It breaks my heart that people dump kittens like that :( Years (and years) ago when I was a teenager my friend and I were heading to the mall. We drove across a bridge that spanned over the river and the cars were at a stand still. I couldn't tell what the heck the problem was, i didn't see any accident... And then I saw 4 fuzzy black dots darting back and forth across the bridge. I immediately got out of the car and went to the closest one and saw it was a fuzzy black kitten with ice blue eyes. He had flopped over against the rail of the bridge and was panting. He looked up and me and let out the most pathetic little mew. My heart melted. I saw that other people had gotten out of their cars and grabbed the remaining kittens. I brought mine home and named him Geoffrey. My mom was a little miffed at me since we already had 4 cats but I couldn't help it. And he was the sweetest cat I ever had (aside from my Lucy that I have now).
I should add, she was all Vet checked and dewormed before I allowed supervised visits with my boys....she is very healthy!!!
but a very rambunctious kitten, its been a long long time since I've had a baby in this house...forgotten all they are capable of getting into...:)
