Loreena's uptodate 25th May

Tomorrow will be the day 20 of the second round of enrofloxacino.
I want badly stop the stuff but Im afraid of doing .Afraid of stopping AND afraid of continuing.
Vet Fabiano still believe in 30 days prescription
She's peeing twice a day, without effort - but I dont feel like she is doing as much as usual
She was eating less this weekend -lets hope it was due only to a furball she finally throw up today.
Lets see tonight.2 other possibilities  I thought would be :
* medicine nor working and she getting worse ( I dont think its the case)
* too much antibiotic finally disturbed her stomach... ( more probable)
We went to the clinic today.Dr said she is fine .
New urine test will only be possible a week after stopping medicine - thats way Im crazy about it.

Stop or not is now is up to me.Sort of " do as you want - just dont blame me after"
Accepting opinions...

Stopping pills finally .Give the last yesterday night
In fact, she was supposed to take 4 days more (+ 2 pills) but I went to vet today ( and waited a lot ;-) ) just to tell him that was the last pee after pill he will see...
Pee was not so normal today, but that medicine already had time enough to do her job and I wont keep using that...
Now is a week without and a new test next week
Lolo is refusing her sachet - damn,I hope the didnt change the product again...Lets see...

Your healing thoughts are being very helpful - I keep giving her the stuff but is the second day the way she **** please me :-)
Not poo yet today - but I guess this is ok.
Sending my healing prayers for you as well... I do know that is terrible to be waiting for a surgery.
Maybe you and Lolo would be completly free at the same time...

back - still dont know what I will do.I have to decide til 5.30 pm.
Maybe I try some days more...somehow the feeling that is "just some days more"make me calmer -  but not much...
Pee yesterday morning was few  cos she had done in the early morning hours -but normal color enough for me .Vet said its still turve, however.Pee at night was great
But no Poo yesterday - and vet had noticed some on the way in the morning. She tried but just 2small pieces came
Today, soon  after the pee she went litter box again for a new subject, I guess - and did another very small pee.It worried me  not for pee itself but because it was caused for her efforts in doing poo - that didnt came
It came  , mercifully. Not much but enough,I believe

enrofloxacin,so .Yes its.
And yes, what scared me most was the RETINAL ISSUES .You all know why, I guess...
Medicine info here say basically the same about dosis and period but is not so "explicit " about problems
Lolo is taking  half pill (= 25mg) a day and she is now 3,650 kg ( second week keeping that - checked yesterday - I was afraid she could be lost some after a weekend eating bad
I will read better and post more later on, if possible

thats a tough call isn't it, afraid to keep on but afraid to quit too.....Apple, I don't know either all I can say is thats an awful LONG time to be taking this medication, here in N. America this drug is called enrofloxacin (I think you are meaning the same drug?) its not an antibiotic its an antibacterial.
The drug is used to fight certain bacteria....usually prescribed for a  10 day period. this drug can cause blindness if used in doses higher than 5mg per kg...how high a dose is Lolo on??
copied some of the info
