MY CAT WON'T EAT!

My cat hasn't really eaten much for the last 6 days! He eats a few kibbles, sometimes only 1 kibble, he dryheaves and vomits bile, probably 3-4 out of the 6 days. He doesn't vomit every day, but on the whole doesn't eat mcuh, he turns away when he sees the food bowl. I've tried different dry foods, cooked rice and fish, cooked ground beef like little meatballs, tunafish from a can, usually his favorite, and baby-food from a jar. This morning he finally licked a little baby-food off my finger. Otherwise nothing works.
FYI- My other cat was sick recently in the same manner and got better.
FYI- I've recently started switching their food, my other cat was eating special food for fatty liver and the little cat would sometimes eat some of that. I was told by vet not bad if he ate a few but not many.
I also started the NOW sick cat on weightmanagament food...
I'm worried my cat is going to get kidney or liver problems, I don't know what to do?

Please help,

Sincerely,

Bacardi

Did you ever find out what was the matter with your cat?  My cat is having the same problem -- the Vet can't seem to figure it out.  Any advice?

the part where they've bleeped me wasn't really a bad word. I said ©rap...I didn't think that would get bleeped. Oh well. I'll rephrase "There's less garbage in it..."

better?

I agree with Linda...you really should take your cat to the vet. If you can't afford a regular vet you can sometimes get in to see a shelter vet for cheaper...the wait is often longer tho.

Is you cat drinking? if he isn't drinking then he can be in real danger. Check dehydration by twisting the skin on the back of his neck (or anywhere else for that matter) if it doesn't spring back into place right away then he's dehydrated and you need to get him help asap!

as for food, are you feeding dry food with any sort of gluten in it? Check the ingredients. If there's wheat or corn or any other type of gluten then change his food right away. It's the gluten that was killing cats last year. There are a lot of premium brands of dry food that have better and safer ingredients. Please always read labels.

Also, if he will eat canned food (when he starts eating again) then that would be best for him. Also buy a premium food if you can. There's less **** in it and better meats, less internal organs and nasty parts like feet and beaks. Try to stay away from anything that says 'by product'. That's the icky scraps that aren't fit for human consumption so they stuff it in our pet's foods.

but before you can do this you need to find out what's wrong right now. You can sometimes get advice if you call an animal hospital. Good luck and I hope he's ok.

Since this has been going on for 6 days, I think it is time to take him to a vet.  Cats can dehydrate and lose weight very quickly, thus doing some real damage.  Since your other cat was sick, too, I think it best to find out what is really going on.  I am sure some tests might be in order.
