Manx Urinary Incontinence in Sleep

I adopted my male Manx mix, Obi, back in late Sept.  I have since noticed that he has problems peeing in his sleep.  He uses the little box religiously while awake, but when the poor guy falls into a deep sleep, he wets himself.  He usually wakes up and jumps off the bed or couch or wherever he's gone and begins to clean himself.  He will later go back to that spot and try to lick up the mess.  He has already seen the vet on several occasions and been treated for  UTI.  He is otherwise a very sweet and loving boy and I feel terrible locking him out of my room at night because of having to change the sheets everyday.  I love my little guy and he doesn't deserve to be sent away or put down because of something that is out of his control.  I need help, I'm a student and I've already racked up several hundred dollars in vet bills.  Please Help :(

hi and welcome to our forum. I am sorry for Obi's problem, like you say its something he can't help....there is often a problems with manx kitties called 'manx sydrome' you can google it and get even more information. I will send you one link i have found.
I do hope by searching you will be able to find some way of helping him control this problem....have you considered stud pants (a kitty diaper) at night??? I can send you info on that too if you like. let me know.

Thank you for your response, I've already googled the hell out of this issue, and it looks like diapers are the only option at this point.  I so badly that I can't do anymore.
