Meat stuff in cat's teeth.

I saw my six months old cat try to get the meat which stuff in her teeth every meal.....  Do you brush the cat's teeth?  How?  Using tooth paste or what else?

A cat is unlikely to let you just start brushing her teeth without sedation.  However, she can be trained.  Start off by dipping your finger in some tuna juice and put your finger in her mouth.  When she allows this, gently rub your finger on her teeth and inside her mouth.  Next, do the same process using a piece of gauze.  Once she is comfortable with having a foreign object in her mouth, you can switch to a toothbrush or dental sponge.  She is still likely to baulk at the taste of toothpaste, so I would suggest either plain water or add enough tuna water to the toothpaste to mask the taste.  They also make flavored toothpaste for cats.
