One of my shelter kitties had a miscarriage over nite. A couple days prior, the only thing I noticed was her relaxing more as if preparing for birth. No visable signs of illness or anything. It appears that the kittens were abut 2 weeks prematurePremature ejaculation Premature infant. The way she was acting last nite, was like she was ready to give birth, so I put her in the cage I had fixed up for her. When I woke up this morning expecting to see n hear kittens, I found that she had miscarried. I did not notice any malformationsImperforate anus Imperforate anus repair Pulmonary arteriovenous fistula of the kittens, only that they of course were too small to survive. Now she is going through the house attempting to find her "kittens". I have a house full right now with 3 other mamas and babies. Any suggestions of anything I can do to help her? As I said no indication of illness although I have gone ahead and gave her a dose of Amoxicillan as a precaution. Also any ideas as to why she may have miscarried would be appreciated.
Thank you for your help!
Kindest Regards
Hi, I can't even begin to guess why she miscarried, but I've got an idea!!!! Why don't you "borrow" the other kittens (if they're young enough) and let them nurse on the momma that miscarried? Her milkBreast milk Breast milk jaundice Lactose intolerance Nipple discharge - abnormal will probably come in anyway, even though she miscarried. If the kittens are too old, then it might not work.
