My cat vomitted and now he's all moody

I have a 4 year old cat who's really healthy, like he's never ever been sick. when i got home from class, i saw there was a pile of vomit on the floor and i cleaned it up and checked on him, and he seemed fine. like a half hour later, he vomited again but it was mostly just liquid, like bile. He's not himself, and he's acting very moody - he's not reacting to his favourite toys, i tried to feed him his favourite vitamins but he was completely uninterested in it. its only been an hour since but I'm really quite worried. The vet I called said that I should wait it out until tomorrow but I'm really worried. Does anyone know what I should do?

I have never heard of a vet who recommends to wait in a situation like this one! Not only has he vomited but he does not want to eat and he is lethargic= not good. It could be a stomach virus. One of my cats is very sensitive to those. Or it could have been hairballs? But when it's hairballs, cats generally want to eat right after vomiting.

Until you go see the vet, try to keep your cat hydrated, that's the most important thing. If he does not drink in his water ball, force him to drink: take a 1 mL syringe (without the needle of course) and every 1/2 hrs give him # 50-100uL on the side of the mouth. Not faster or he could barf the water.
