My cat walks around in a circle so many times before he sits?

I'm sure this is nothing serious, but almost every time, when he jumps onto my bed, or even on the couch, he'll push his paws down in one spot A LOT or walk around in a circle , sometimes it lasts a few minutes before he sits down, and sometimes when I try to touch him while he does it he gets mad and tries to bite me, what does this mean?
Yes he is fixed.

He is making the space his own.  The kneading puts his scent on the spot and the circling establishes the perimeter.  Your "interference" during this process distracts him from his "job" and makes him have to start all over again.  Once he is "done", he would probably welcome your attention and invite you into his space.

Hi!   My cat does the same thing, but when she is kneading, she grabs the blanket (or sock) in her mouth and drools on it.  Just one of her quirks.  :)
