I have 2 cats. They sleep together at the edge of our bed every night. The older cat is pretty antisocial and a bit nutty. But the younger one will jump all over us and nip us. He's blonde so he's very soft. He also has a little head and big body that makes him look funny. He's so wild. It was hard to tame him when he was a kitten. He will also jump at bugs on the wall. It's pretty funny to watch.
I have 4 cats. They all make me smile.
Sam chow hound, when he wants attention he will keep tapping me with his paw. Like tapping you on the shoulder.
Carl, he skips. He just gets so happy sometimes he walks in front of you and skips. over and over....
Tazz. Chirps when he purrs. lol! He likes to nurse on his back leg when he is really feeling the love.
Sophie, Is the only female and is just cracks me up. When she is really wound up she can open the little slit under her nose hahahaha! Eyes turn from blue to black. She has huge feet and when she runs she sounds like a heard of elelphants.
Thanks for this. All your stories made me smile
Terry
I have on cat, her name is Stardust. She has many cute habits. One of them is when we come home she greets us by running to the front door and scolds us for being gone. When she wants to eat she will stand in front of the tv and rub it, or she will knock over video games. When my husband and I snuggle on the couch she will sometimes get mad and join us. When we sleep she will snuggle up next to us and take up half of the bed. When my husband leaves for work in the morning she will sit and the door with her head cocked to one side and sometimes holler at him for leaving. She will go lay in bed with me and take up my husband's side of the bed and lay down with her head on the pillow and with her front paws around my neck. If I am sitting on the couch she will come up and nip me on the arm and then sit on one side of my lap and purr and sleep.
When my husband goes to bed before I do, 2 of our cats go to bed with him. But if I don't follow within an hour, the older one come looking form me and reads me the riot act for staying up to late. He is like a snooze alarm in reverse. Every ten minutes or so, he will start meowing and nudging at me to go to bed. If I tell him not yet, he will lay at my feet for another 10 minutes and then go through the whole routine again until I finally give in and go back to bed with him.
I have 3 cats and each is special, of course! Butters funny trick is "playing the piano": he gets all jazzed up, grits his teeth and jams his front paws in a sideways movement: sometimes on the carpet and sometimes on the baseboard on the wall. We say "Go, Butter, go!!" And he flicks his tail and plays faster!! Bob will sit on the counter and ambush you when he feels it's supper time, usually just a paw pat but one day I was being particularly dense in his opinion so he grabbed my shirt in his teeth on my way by as if to say "you're not getting away this time!!" And Spirit is our little lady and generally not prone to any sort of indignities, just unholy howling at 3 am!! They bring so much to our lives, don't they?
That's funny, Pip. Jade likes to "play in place" too. Jade loves the scratching post and she's discovered she likes to wrap herself around it, pull herself in a circle and bunny kick the post.
Aww...Loreena's habit is Really cute.
Jade likes to lick me and give little love bites...like she's getting fleas. She'll lick as long as I'll let her. She especially likes the forehead. If we're both in the backyard, when I start for the house she'll take off and go so fast she's a blur and beat me to the door. She runs really funny so that always make me laugh.
Something new she did the other night was take a fresh sock from my husbands laundry and started rubbing her face all over it and pretty soon she's on her side with it in her paws and loving on it, then roll on her back with it under her and kept looking at me upside down to make sure I'm watching. She keeps this whole thing up for 10mins. I'm on my knees and elbows so I'm almost even with her face and I was in heaven, it was SO cute! Was dying to get the camera, but knew it'd break the moment.
Our 10 year-old, Kestrel is so laid back...I love it when she's playing "real hard."
She'll lay at the base of the scratching post, from which hangs a mousie toy on a string. She barely bats it, watches it swing for awhile, bat, swing, bat...and when she's really being wild, Kessie catches the mouse, looks at it and then goes back to...bat, swing, bat, swing...
