I'm happy to hear that he was tested! He'll be fine as a toothless kitty. I've had some that have lost their teeth and did okay. Cats are survivors! =D
Yes, they did test her when I brought her in. he was skin & bones, and the vet did mention the leukemiaand aids as possible reasons. They also thought she was pregnant but it turned out to be the dried food I had put out for her when I first saw her. She swallowed it whole and they could feel it in her tummy. It seems to be a mystery. Thank you though for the suggestions. I'm open to anything.
Hi, has your cat been tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS virus? These viruses can cause mouth infections and the loss of teeth.
Hi! Since Bailey had no teeth the vet could not tell her age however, they think she is now about 7 yrs. old. They are still uncertain and confused how she lost her teeth. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll try and find the Hills
Do you have any idea how old the cat is? We had a cat who would have been 25 yrs old this year and he had no teeth either but he was able to eat dry food. The vet told us that often cats with no teeth or bad teeth just swallow their food. Not sure if what the vet said is true for all cats but there is a cat food called a/d by Hills that is quite soft and easy to digest. But it's expensive. Maybe some of that gourmet cat food would help Miss B to eat.
