Not eating and bad breath
My 9yr. old siamese has stopped eating for about 5 days now, (did eat a little wet food) and I just noticed that her breath smells sort of like antiseptic or kind of "mediciney". Anyone know what that might be?
Yes, PLEASE get her to a vet ASAP. Cats can develop feline hepatic lipidosis, which is a fatty liver disease that can be fatal. They can develop this in as little as 3 days of not eating.
One of our members, PrettyKitty1 went through a hell of a time w/ her cat in Dec '09 w/ this disease. She almost lost him, and it was a very scary time for all of us on here!

PS-When cats don't eat for 2 days, a vet can prescribe a drug called Cyproheptadine, which is an appetite stimulant that works great. Be sure to ask your vet about it......it can literally be a life saver.
