OTC Tapeworm Med for cats

Hi all - I have a stray cat I feed -- I noticed a tapeworm segment on his anus.
Does anyone know of an OTC med i can use to treat this?
He is pretty feral, so taking him to the vet is out of the question.

Thank you very much for your information.  A single dose is exactly what I need for this little guy.  He has been very sporadic on his visits, so a single dose would be perfect.

Actually,  I just treated my cat with Drontal and the vet gave me a tablet and a half to give at home as a one time dose.  So it is now available in a pill form

There really is no OTC wormer that will get rid of tapes, however if you call your vet and tell him about the stray cat and that you have seen tapeworm segments on the cat's anus, and ask him if you can possibly stop by to pick up a dose of wormer from him to treat the cat.  Most vets have no problem dispensing Droncit or Cestex to their clients for strays.  Those are really the only wormers that are effective for tapes.  There's one called Drontal that covers ALL intestinal parasites, including tapes, but it's injectable and I don't know whether or not your vet would be willing to dispense a dose to you.  He may, but usually since this involves a needle and syringe vets are sometimes reluctant to dispense it and prefer to instead give it at their office.  I sincerely doubt that you will have any trouble at all getting the pills from him though, and it will be cheaper and more effective than just any OTC wormer you would be able to purchase.
