One last Chessie picture

This one is from 6 May 2004, a month before her 2nd birthday.

I want to thank all of you for your words of support.  Chessie was a good cat and I am sure she is where good cats go when they take their Final Walk, and that I will see her again, along with all the people and other pets I loved in this life.

I am so sorry to see this Pip.  She is running with Snickers now.  You are right too as we will see them again.  You are a wonderful pet owner and any pet that gets the privilege to live with you knows how blessed they are~ Sending comforting hugs your way~sara

Chessie sure was a pretty girl!!

Jade is soooo right, a lot of us get upset and carry it w/ us when a long-time forum member's cat gets sick or passes on.  I find myself thinking about the cat at work or dreaming about the cat, especially after I've seen a pic of them.

There are some cats(and forum members) that I think of as extended family.  LOL

It's always really hard to lose a dear pet, because they are so much a part of your life and they really are a part of your family.  I really like this picture, too.  The background of that carpeting was just the perfect coloring to make her true colors stand out for this picture.  It's a great picture of your Chessie Bear.

I have been looking for a kitten picture, but some of my hard drives are still in boxes.  I am going to post one when I find it.

Hi Pip,

Just read your comment about Chessie Bear. What a wonderful outlook on life you have "Knowing you will see all you loved when your time ends here". That is a belief I too live by--boy I sure hope we are right! I have a list of lost loves in my life and count on this to keep me going, LOL!!!!

Thinking of you,
CML

The special love you had for your Chessie Bear, is felt, Pip.  I loved the last photo you shared with you two sleeping together, that was so precious.  This photo of her...it is one of the great ones, I think.  Really shows off her sweet little face along with her shiny soft gray fur and golden eyes.

A few wks ago I went back in your photos to see if you posted one of her as a tiny kitten, but I didn't see one.

It is just so difficult to lose a beloved pet, especially when it's so sudden.  And it is hard on the forum to lose a long time fur baby, I always take it deeply to heart.  Yes, I, too, believe we will see our furbabies again, there is not a doubt in my mind.  ((Hugs))
