One month to 13 years old - Teia

Hey all;

For the weekly Teia update, a picture of a close social encounter between her and her friend Hildiekatt...both groovin' to the catnip.

Got a new jar on the way home from work last night.  All of the girls love a little nip, lick at it and rub on it some.  Miss Hildie loves to roll in it (the specks in her fur).  Missy T just seems content to eat the nip, then scratch at the pad; she'd not finished "grazing" yet in this photo.

Awesome pic!  It was lookin' like Miss Hildie was trying to entice Teia to play until I read about the cat nip.  They are sure in to it!

Thanks so much for keeping Teia's story going, Pip.  You've done a wonderful job with her!  I'm so happy this has helped you, as well.  The better you feel, the more support you're able to provide Anita.

Miss Hildie continues to make friendly advances and Teia is |..| this close to breaking her last "wall" down completely.  They did bump noses once, but the moment was very fleeting.

Thats so interesting Pip ...I love to animal watch on my patio not only do I get wonderful birds I watch the neighbors cat and my Tweety chasing a squirrel ,who is too fast for them , 2 stray kittens  have now turned up in their yard there are huge Rocks here and they all play hide and seek in and out of them.I remember asking about cat nip a while back, I have never tried it with Tweety  .

This morning, Miss Teia seemed reluctant to make the trip into the master bath for her morning water bowl ritual, so I put it by her food bowl.

Lo and behold, who was sitting on the bath mat after I showered?

Yep, got a good talking to until I retrieved the bowl, emptied it, rinsed and re-filled it, then set it in the accustomed place near the tub...had a nice long lap-time session when I got home from work this evening.

Hahaha...sounds like Miss Teia isn't as interested in her water unless you go through the ritual of the shower first.  And no "old" water for Teia!

Tell me, Pip, would she of drunk the water if you hadn't of washed and refilled the bowl?  Jade used to get excited with "new" water and watching me fill her cup even though the water was fresh in the first place, she just didn't *see* me fill it.

That's pretty cute.  Akira is a nip grazer, too.  Even in the same manner from the cardboard scratcher.  Teia is definitely getting quite comfortable.  And, 13 is a pretty good deal, too.
