Poopie Pants-Could it be?

OK. I may have another peice of the puzzle for "poopie pants" who will not pop in the box.

Adie from having "middle kittie syndrme", as discussed, she also has "the heartbreak of soriasis". In addition (as if that isn't enough), she is "weight challenged". How's that for being PC..LOL Now I have found she has fleas. The other two do not. Only poopie has fleas.

So, we got them all out for the day, bombed the house. Got advantage. Dosed them all. I vaccumed like a mad woman, and threw the bag out after I was done.

So, is it possible that fleas can breed in the litter? Maybe they are biting her in there?

This is so frustrating but I won't give up. Of course the other two girls may have something to say about her staying. When they see her poop on the floor, they give her dirty looks. I believe they planning a mutiny and may sneak her out the back when I'm not looking.

I have way too much time on my hands. LOL

Fleas can be...anywhere. I usually use frontline, but it's bloody expensive. Sometimes I use the cheaper drops, they work short term. Then you can *attack* the rest of the flea problem.

But...I've noticed *really fat cats* Sorry, call a fat kitty a fat kitty! We had one we called Elephant! :)   tend to have more fleas than others (lack of movement makes for good breeding ground?!)

Y'know, maybe she's being "difficult" because of her weight problem. Cats who are overweight do get very picky and difficult. (have you tried an OTC med for people on the psoriasis? Most people skin creams work on cats).

We have one cat who's getting "weight challenged". We give her the "kitty diet dry", it works pretty well. She ALSO has psoriasis on her backside. But I HATE to cure it, because if you scritch her right on it, she starts yowling and biting whatever is in front of her (bed, carpet, foot, my hand...) it's VERY funny to watch!!! :)

She is simply collecting her "winter coat".

I hear ya about the "touching the spot" thing. Heaven forbid. I have gotten her a special blend of oatmeal bath and I soak her in the tub. Now, if you think for one minute she likes this?  Well, she is coming to live with you..by FREIGHT!!!

What scares me, in all honesty, is that hubby says he is done. I have back problems and I do not clean up after her/them. HE does. He sat me down last nite and said he was done. My heart is honestly breaking. She does not mean this, I am sure. Who would she go to? I HAVE to find a way.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. We're having trouble placing cats right now ourselves, there's just so many strays out there with the warm winters we're having.

Can you convince him to try to wait until you 'diet her down'? It may help... it's tricky with multiple cats but it can be done.

I know how you both feel on this. My wife loves helping them out, and I do too, but when we get like 5 emergency dumpee's dropped on us for a few days to a week because of overcrowding...well, I go crazy! We've got two here that should have been gone a while ago, but due to old age, they'd be the first to be killed at the shelter, so we hold them back.
