Hey all,
I can see a dose of Teia news is needed.
Here we are, two weeks back from two weeks away.
Yesterday, for a split second, Teia and Hildie touched noses for the first time, and both sat back looking very surprised. A little later, as Hildie walked by, Teia reached out to put nose to tail. They are regularly getting scritches sitting just a few inches apart now.
Kessie did her once every 2 weeks or so dinner chaperone thing, eating just across the hall from Teia and sister Hildie.
Teia continues to not like Chessie, I heard a bit of hissy-spitty earlier, I went to the door of my office (which is next to Le Salon de Teia) and Chessie strolled out of there. I went in and Teia almost immediately emerged from the closet, which is her new bunker zone.
The closet has bi-fold doors, which we've never opened for Teia. She seems to have observed us the times we did open them to get something, and opens them herself when she wants in...after emerging, she sat on her threshold, watching Chessie at the scratching post halfway down the hall. She hissed a little, but seemed unagitated, so long as Chessie did not look her way.
Teia now spends a good deal of the day lounging on her box by the window.
When I got up this morning, all 4 girls were in the hallway, waiting for breakfast: Teia and Hildie at their spot, Kessie and Chessie near the kitchen, where they eat together. Missy T was actually sitting on the threshold to the master bedroom, so I'm wondering if she slept there, too.
For the first time in about a month, Missy T was in the master bath waiting for me as I got out of the shower. She went into the water closet and waited for me to flush, so she could jump up and watch the water swirling. She doesn't drink out of the "magic spring" like the others, but the whirlpool seems to fascinate her.
And, tonight's new trick...I was giving her a good head scritch, for the usual 2 - 3 minutes. As I tried to step away, she reached out and snagged my pant leg to stop me. A couple more minutes seemed to satisfy her.
Hope all are well!
If kitty is hurt, get him or her to a vet, please!
