Red almost bloody inside upper eyelids and red anus

My 12 year old male has developed red almost bloody looking on his top inside eyelid. I thought it was just a scratch from playing with my other cat, and found what I thought was a scab in the fur next to the outer corner of his eye but now I think it was secretions that had hardened. The fur around his eyes is black so hard to tell. I wasn't concerned until it didn't go away, its been there a week and now I'm seeing the same bloody looking redness on his other eye and also now his anus is very very red. He seems a little grumpy at times but no other symptoms that I've spotted. Help!

Did you take him to the vet!? This doesn't sound good at all!! I hope he is okay now. I know this is from over a month ago.

I forgot to add the problem around his claws and he doesn't seem like he is suffering. (I know cats hide that well) There has been no blood in his stool that I've seen. And yes, I figured on the vet but I was hoping it was something I could treat myself.

Yikes!!! HELP is exactly what you need, not from us, though. You need to get your little guy to the Vets or an emergency animal clinic. ASAP!

Poor little guy is certainly suffering with whatever it turns out to be. For the life of me I do not know what to think about the eye problem. Has there been blood in his stools?

Perhaps he got into some caustic substance and that is the cause of the eye sores .The Vet is the only one to help--sorry!

Please let us know what this turns out to  be. We learn from others, just like you.

Best wishes to you and your kit,
CML
