Small Lump

Small Lump

Two weeks ago my four year old indoor cat was moved permantly to live outdoors.
He received all the necesary vaccines and I treated him for flea/Tick prevention.

Last night as I was petting him I noticed a small bump near the inside of his hind leg.

Any idea what this might be?

Well, I'd think tick despite the shots (they can take time to drop off). Can you see the skin where the bump is?

Otherwise, my first guess would be a localized infection. These aren't usually to big a deal, but you should keep an eye on it and get antibiotics if it grows and doesn't drain on it's own. As a new outdoor cat, he's probably doing some scrapping and will pick up these little injuries.

Otherwise, if you can describe the skin tone of the bump, and if he reacts as if it's painful to touch, it would be helpful.
