Stomach Rash?

My cat keeps having These rashes on her stomach between her legs around this time of year. We take her to the vet every time she gets it, But this year it's pretty bad. They said it was infected, so they gave us antibiotics. I gave her all of the pills each day for the dose that she was proscribed and it is still there. The rash is white around the areas where it is not irritated, and the areas that are irritated are red and bulging, on the top of it, there is black dots. She licks it constantly, and seems to be licking her fur off there where it is located. We have no idea what the rash is created by, nor does the Veterinarian. We are starting to think it may be the Cat Litter, but we do not know. I have put Neosporin on it, and it seems to have helped, but It will not go away, The vet suggested us to take her to the college to get her a allergy test, but it's 600$ that we can not afford. We thought it may have been fleas like it has been in the past, but she doesn't even have one flea on her. We have also gave her, her front line treatment. I have a picture of it, if it is helpful. I just want to make my cat feel better. I feel sorry for her because she is in pain. Can anyone help me? Suggest anything? Is there anyway it could be the Cat Litter? Is there Cat Litter that is for sensitive skin?

this is the picture of it.

Have you tried an anti fungal cream? I washed my babies stomach with soap to clean the area .I also used bady powder to keep it dry and some times the cream. Some times a warm rag feels good to them. My babies stomach was pretty nasty looking.I'm not sure the cream did the trick or the washing and baby powder did it. If you are concerned about using a cream on your animal you could call a vet and ask if it would be harmful in any way to put that on your cat.hope it helps

To keep your cat from licking her rash you could always try an ecollar.  I would also try using different litter and maybe even a different food to see it that helps.

sorry I didn't see your post earlier....I looked at the pic. your poor poor kitty how she must be suffering with a rash like that.
IMO its a severe allergy to something...since its on her underside it could very well be the litter, or does she go outside?? if so it could be a chemical such as grass fertilizer/weed killer etc....do you keep her indoors? if you haven't please do so.
Since this IMO looks like a contact allergy, what do you use on the floors to clean with? do you have lots of carpets??

as far as kitty litters, what kind is she using? have you tried other brands or something other than a clay?
You can go to a petstore and get paper litter, like a rabbit pellet, you can try corn litter or pine litter too. I strongly urge you to try that first AND BE SURE ITS UNSCENTED!!!

I also have a thread I will include tht I just posted on yesterday and on it I give some links to sites that talk about EOSINOPHILIC PLAQUE/ GRANULOMA COMPLEX also ATOPIC DERMATITIS.
This is becoming very common unfortunately. Its from an allergic response to SOMETHING and it will take some research and trials on your part to find out to what....could also be her food???

heres the link to the other thread, read all you can on there and see if you can make some connections that are similar to her problems, please post back and lets see if we can come up with something to help....
