There is no doubt who is in charge.
Cooper was chasing Miss T earlier this evening, but I heard no hissing or growling...think it likely ended with Teia stopping and just lifting a paw, with Cooper dropping to a submissive pose.
Thanks for asking. Miss Teia is snoozing on my shoes by the door mat as I type, about 20 feet away from her usual protected spot under the desk.
Buff and Cooper have the run of the house except for perhaps an hour or two a week. The routine has become they leave Teia alone when we are gone, usually by napping upstairs in the crows nest.
Teia is eating well, box habits back to normal, just giving her a little Miralax every day. She does not mind if the boys are eating near her, sometimes as close as just under a foot. Though, sometimes I have to distract them with the Red Bug so she can finish undisturbed; getting less frequent.
Teia even comes upstairs now while we are getting ready for the day. Yesterday she chased the boys away from the shower stall after I finished so she could indulge in her habit of licking water from the walls of the stall.
The boys being boys, they do challenge her a bit, but now all it takes is a hiss and her lifting her paw for them to drop into a submissive pose.
I am so glad Miss T is okay!! I wish every pet owner could be like you Pip.
Good news :-)
Sometimes they got some APPETITE after got back from vets, Uhm?
I already see this here as well...
Btw - poos here is ALWAYS basically fur - hope they keep passing fine...
I'm relieved that it's nothing serious!!
That's what we like to see!!
Missy T has eaten 3 times since we got back from the vet's.
I'm happy it was nothing serious. Missy T sounds like she is feeling back to herself; that's good.
Back from the vet, said Teia had no remaining blockage, sample I brought in did have a lot of hair in it. Recommended giving her Miralax again and gave me a hairball remedy to try, too. Also gave Missy some sub-q fluids.
Said age and past may be catching up...but said there are some mild medicines to help. Observing for now.
Teia is having a post vet visit snack of wet food right now.
When I got home, Teia wanted to do her patrol of the front landscaping and afterwards had a snack (appetite and movement seemed back to normal). Time to gather her up and head for the vet's.
Teia was closer to normal this morning, came upstairs looking foe me when she heard me moving about getting ready for the day. She is having breakfast, put a little Miralax in her food.
Buff and Cooper ate theirs about six feet away and then went off to do kitten things.
Will still bring her to the vet.
Sending my prayers, too, Pip!!
I went down about an hour ago and she came out. Had a little bit of ear scritches and we went outside (walk out basement). She spent about 20 minutes enjoying the sunshine, rolling in the dried grass and eating some of the newly emerging green. She then trotted up the deck stairs to the main floor door. Had a little bit of supper and is now sleeping on the La-Zee-Boy chair in the living room.
I will follow up the voice message I left at the vet's with a call tomorrow during my break at work.
She did poop, but the stool looked a bit odd, so I have it in a container to bring.
So she's hiding; that's not good. Ok, sending up some prayers for our Ms Teia. Let us know how it goes, Pip. Hugs to everyone~
Just checked on her. She is sleeping, breathing easy, in the carpeted part of the basement, bunkered in behind a couple of 5-gallon buckets.
They ate breakfast together today.
Miss Teia seems to be feeling poorly this afternoon, have called the vet to get her in tomorrow or Tuesday.
How awesome is this!!!!????
Love seeing these updates!! What a huge breakthrough this is!!
Well done by the whole family!
Happy times!
Melinda
They ate lunch together today.
