Teia: Foodbowl share

HUGE event here at Catamount Grange...Miss Teia Honey let Buff eat from her bowl as she was eating.  She also let Cooper do the same, but he moved before I could get a good shot.

In case you have the new forum...both pictures are linked below.

Miss Teia came down a few minutes ago from her 3rd upstairs patrol of the day.

Another sign that Miss Teia is more comfortable with the boys...she slept on me last night, upstairs, for the first time in several months.

Hey Pip.
Miss Teia is a very sweetie petey girl and loves you dearly and has been loving the boys more and more for some time now. This is a grand breakthrough.  Did you ever think that they'd share a food bowl?!  I just love those furry friends!
She has seniority and the more she has progressed through becoming her true self she's had to be less frightened, a theory, and Buff & Cooper have matured, also a theory -gigglesnort.  And as my smallest kitty taught me many years ago, size means nothing!

Of course she only has to raise a paw!  My money's always been on Miss Teia.

Keep those posts and photos coming in.  Thanks.

Blessings,
  Melinda

Interesting.  I just saw a cute video where two cats have three bowls of food, and every time Cat A would choose one and begin to eat, Cat B would stop eating from his bowl and brush Cat A aside and start to eat out of the bowl Cat A had been interested in.  No matter which bowl Cat A would turn to, Cat B would stop eating and sweetly shoulder Cat A away and take over the bowl Cat A had momentarily been eating from.  It was done suavely, as though Cat B was purring and rubbing on Cat A, but it was clear after it happened at five times in a row that Cat B was not being sweet, he was being dominant.

I wonder if Teia is being nice or if she is just bowing to the inevitable, your new little swashbucklers having displayed their strength and youth constantly enough to convince her she can't fight City Hall.

I think she was having a sharing moment.  The boys still back down when she just lifts a paw when she's had enough of one of them getting close, doesn't even have to vocalize at them.
