Teia and Chessie

Heya!

Missy T sat her ground today as Chessie came out of the master bedroom and walked within mere inches of her.

I was getting ready to feed the girls (Teia, Hildie, Kessie and Chessie) their supper...

Teia was sitting by her bowl.

Kessie was in the kitchen.

Hildie was in the hall near "Teia's Room."

Chessie was on the "master bed."

I popped the top in the kitchen, filled the plates and walked down the hall to give Teia and Hildie their portions...Kessie was in the kitchen and Chessie was no where to be seen...

I put down the Teia and Hildie portions, Miss Chessie comes out of the master bedroom...

"Hiss!"  blink   eat

Chessie pauses momentarily before going to her plate in the kitchen.

Teia hissed as Chessie passed by, but did not disappear, as has been past practice.

That sounds like major progress.  Miss T sounds a little braver with each report.  Maybe some day she will even stop hissing at Chessie whenever Chessie walks past her, too.

That's our girl!  The ongoing saga of our Miss T and the girls is great fun.

What you described, happened this morning (though Hildie hissed at Chessie instead).

Miss T was eating her breakfast and Chessie had finished hers, which is in the kitchen with Kessie.

Because she is stout, like a proper teddy bear, Chessie has the nickname of Bear.

Bear wanders down the hall.  Hildie sees her, hisses and runs past her towards the living room.  Bear continues on into the master bedroom and Teia just continued eating breakfast with nary a glance.  Almost like, "If I don't look, she's not there."

This evening, after supper, I go to check Teia's kibble, water and scratch box.  She's under the nightstand and Bear is laying on the floor by the foot of the bed, on her back belly towards Teia.

Looks like our miss "subtle as a crowbar" is trying to take a new approach at getting Teia to like her.
