The house, including Teia's closet, has been re-carpeted. Using a UV light and an enzymatic cleaner, got the sub flooring in the closet thoroughly de-scented before the new floor covering was placed.
Missy T and I sat in the closet this evening. She sniffed around and seemed to find nothing familiar. After a little while she came and stood on my legs.
Really nice breakthrough...I was scritching her lower back, and she was digging it.
This is a kitty who would not let me touch her without complaint past the shoulders for over 3 years after we first took her in.
Saturday, kitty Atavan test day...Anita is flying back so we can all get to Maryland for good late next week. I'll be driving a truck towing my car. Anita will be driving a minivan with the three girls. Doc Knilans gave us some kitty calmative to try and help ease the travel anxiety.
Teia standing on your legs....a perfect ending. What began there with Teia, is now complete. I think she is going to acclimate to her new home quickly this time, because she knows she is loved and safe with her sisters and Ma and Pa Cat. :)
My prayers will be with you all. Safe trip, my Friend...♥
