Toothpaste for my kids

Finally bought one.
I didnt like very much since the tube came a lot "full " of air and it  was not so cheap for me agree in paying for air.
The fact package had a small piece of adesive tape on one corner make things worse to trust on but...
It was the last one flavour meat and I only noticed it at home ( the tube is packed in a plastic blister - but would be hard to manage to use and put it back there, i guess)
Could not acess the site of the product - darn it !
Point is , I already tried on.
Stuff has no smell, no attractive taste but Loreena ( poor girl,she is always  my guinea pig) accepted it without foaming and, till the moment I left home , without vomiting.
She was not in mood for food after the brushing, but grabbed a few bites.Maybe she was not wanting "spoil "the dental cleaning and fearful of another session  :-)
If nothing wrong happens, I will keep going.Even not believing in great results
Composition is
Calcium carbonate plus calcium bicarbonate plus watery  vehicle ( not sure if the last word has the meaning I want)
Does anybody knows the right way to brush cat teeth? Moves or frequency? Should we brush her tongue as well ???

Margy, if you want a cat to accept that I quess you better start introducing  the toothbrush - let it smell and play with.
Then  use it for brushing all the favorite scratching points of the cat - neck,external mouth area, etc - without past, of course.
Just for it knows that massage is good-
Forget about humane notions of hygene - if cats licks all her/his bodies parts including the bottom , it means nothing wrong will happen using the toothbrush with some fur or germs :-)
IF your cat get used to AND he/she enjoys the paste flavour/smell you get,MAYBE you can do it...
At this moment I'm thinking about returning to the finger brush - but just because I trust Loreena a lot.In doubt,use something safer to your hands and fingers - as a humane  soft one .

I found it ...lol I was wondering where toothpaste' was ....this is so interesting as I have not thought of cleaning Tweetys  teeth,not certain Apple is she will be good like your Loreena ...I cant even wash her much.Pip told me to use a roughish cloth to clean her coat and that's worked well. clean her teeth ..hummm that may be more of a challenge for me .Gosh I think you gals should write a book ...for learners like me ..

second pack is equal - it means all will be!
Calling the place is a hell ,( just noise)I have to wait til he calls me and when he did promised something not done!
Seller its a decent place - they will replace.But now I didnt want them paying for the mess.
I want those guys from the brand paying for - and the product not even have a number to identify origens /moment produced so we will have to guess ( or open ) other packs to see if are not the same way...
Thats why I wanna talk with him again - to tell him I will pick FIRST DECENT stuff they had in the pet store and they should pay the  seller for if not a "Sete Vidas" ( brand) product.

Now I have 2 consumer services to call on ASAP( but they dont work on weekends,so :( )
Besides trying detais about the toothpaste I have a more important issue to solev with the Sanitary granulate producer.
Thing is not such a wonder, but worked til now.
This time one pack came slightly dammaged ( I always get a big pack contending 5 4kg packs) Nothing to care about,I thought - its for litter,not for eating.
But the granulate came with like small dark stones - the product its only argile ( clay) no other things must be together.
The way things are here,I wont be surprise if they are adding stones to make the stuff heavier and get money from...
Not sure if my cats would/should accept and no mood for scooping all those - if possible.
Not sure about my next steps til I contact them - but I hope I get an answer from them soon since I have 20kg of at home and hope of not having to hurry and buy a few more cos my old supply is gone as well as money.

I certainly AM believing Loreena is an angel.  What a sweet and patient girl she is, and so trusting of you to sit still while you brush.  Really impressive, Apple.  The instructions of keeping the mouth closed confused me too.  I figured it was like when force feeding; just into the back and side of the mouth.  Jade has such a tiny little mouth, I would never attempt even the smallest toothbrush.  I am also pretty sure if I tried such a thing, she would just back up. :)

Yes, I figured the video's were blocked in a public computer.  And that was only a guess about twice a day.  I am thinking in human terms, of course. Twice a week is sure better than none.  All in all, GREAT job, honey! ♥

Jade,videos are better for sure - just that they are blocked here :-)
Opus, I do have one finger tooth brush(latex) but we both prefer one humane soft small head "Oral B"( just like momma uses...)
Finger brush slips from my thin finger and I have to use a patch or medtape wrapping it
I'm also think its very weird brushing with the mouth closed- I had no problems in keeping it slightly open,just not reach the back teeth.
Of course I have to get her in the mood and be fast,but she didnt try to bite me.Not even run away
Maybe you will stated believing she is a real  angel...
Twice a day??? Poor me, of course I wont do that - no time, no wish and no money as well.
I was expecting something like twice a week!!!
And just for Loreena by now!
She is the only one eating something not dry eventually and I started worring about those sachets make her breath get worse.

Oh, good for you for attempting this.  Sounds like it went fairly well.  Even a little brushing is better than nothing.  Coincidentally, I read an article on this just yesterday.  Here is what it says...

"When you brush your cats teeth, keep one hand on her mouth to keep it gently closed.  With the other hand, use the finger brush (Apple, this slips right over your finger making it easier than gripping a brush.  Maybe that is what you're using?) in a circular fashion just on the outside of the mouth.  There is no reason to try to open her mouth to brush the inside - you will get bit, no matter how sweet your cat is"

I'm sorry there seems to be no flavor, but maybe that's a good thing?  She may of hated the flavor causing her to foam.  Scary seeing that.  

Hope the quote from the article is helpful.  It doesn't say how often, but I would think twice a day would be sufficient if you have both the time and all the girls allow it.

gosh you are always a busy moma arent you.....good for you!!!
this is such a good thing to do for cats to help prevent dental disease....I've been trying too...
not sure what your asking abt the toothpaste? as long as its for cats and not humans you are okay...
