Trap door type trap

Savas, that type of trap sounds really great and easy to use - where do you get one???  Never heard of one like that before. We still have some feral guys around that are pretty crafty and if i could trap em and take them into the animal birth control, have them fixed then re release them when better it would be a good thing.

You got to get creative getting them into these types of traps, they aren't stupid. The group sees one walk in and get caught and it's so obvious the rest are like;

"Uh-huh, ain't getting ME in there!"  :)

But...hunger always wins out in the end.

I think our government has finally hit on the old classic standby; keep the people so impoverished and struggling to make ends meet, and they won't have the TIME to protest the loss of their rights!

You have to remember, the sixties came about partly because this was a fairly rich country back then. Kids could afford to blow off school and work because there was a surplus of everything! Plus, the change in access to nation/worldwide information made the dishonesty of politicians commonplace. It's hard to feel as if you can make a difference when you're broke, always tired, and having the news shove down your throat one corruption scandal after another. I know, it's more complicated than this, but you get the idea.
     And Hillary...feh. I don't like any of them. They should make politics a no-pay no-kickback job, then see what types of people come out of the woodworks to run for office.

Here's an idea, seize all of an incoming politician's assets when they start their office. Tie it into the economy. If they end their service giving the economy a boost, they get back their assets and monies accordingly. If not...then they lose the portion of their assets in equal proportion to what the economy lost.

Been managing, can't say more than that. I envy your 80 degree weather, it's cold and windy here!

Rats... sounds like the one we have. I was thinking you were describing one that they stood on a trap door and woosh... one kitty down into the trap ( kind of like on stage or in the movies type trap door).  We purchased ours at a family type hardwear store but they sell many different sizes under the hav a heart name on line.  They are a bit pricey, 10 years ago 65 bucks...  we don't have any laws here about winter traping due to the weather, which I am being quite bummed about lately, still in the mid 80's!!! Longing for 50 and 60 degree days and 40 dergree nights, sigh, bigger SIGH. Thank you global warming.  Was sooooo thrilled with Biden on the debate the other night, impeach....... and there is no where in the patriot Act that allows ethnic profiling. I know, I know, Hillary is your very own senator but her strings seem to be pulled even more so by the large interests than her hubby's were.  But, ultimately the lesser of two evils?  Anyway, so how the heck are you doing these days?  Addiction forum seems to be getting pretty tense these days.

We got ours through the organization that does rescue work. Usually similar organizations or shelters will rent/sell/loan them. It's not the type of thing you can get at the local pet store (around here, at least).

I think it would run up to $100 purchased (ours is a big one though, entrances at both end with a counter levered plate in the center, weighs like 20 bloody pounds, three feet long!)

generally, with the really wary ones, you have to leave the trap outside to let the human smell get off it. Place food in the entrance so they get used to eating near it (blocking the door so it can't close).

Once they seem relaxed, set the trap and *wham*! Caught kitty! :)

Just keep in mind the strick laws with winter trapping. If you leave the cage out, be sure to make it very obvious it's set to a *non working status*. The fines for improper winter trapping can range up to $5,000!!
