Trapping

My family has taken in more than 60 cats who have showed up at our door, spayed/neutered, vetted, and socialized them. Usually they are feral and we can get then in the live trap. Right now I have a kitty in my garage and we have been trying for a month to trap him or her. This cat is so smart it will not go into the trap for anything. We have tried covering the trap, sardines, catnip, tuna, kitty caviar, etc. but with no luck. It is still very skittish although we spend time with it everyday. How can I catch this cat so I can get it to the vet and also so I can open my garage door. Any suggestions would be great!!!

You may want to try an old fashioned stick, string, and box trap, as this cat clearly recognizes a live trap and won't have anything to do with it.

However, you'll only get one try, so set it up right!!!

Let us know how it goes and kudos on the work you do.
