Update on My Cat.

He might end up being referred. Vet is thinking about seeking a second opinion with a Dermatologist. No need for me to say more except that everybody is puzzled. Other than that........Abby is eating, drinking, regular, and playful.

I will keep the news coming. Hopefully, next time I will bring good news. I got an appointment on Thursday.

April? My ringworm has cleared up completely. The tablets worked for me. I kept forgetting them. This is why you need a man to take them to the bed with your early coffee. I need to get sick more often LOL. Oh man, I'm rotten LOL....

Thanks ladies. I am glad with this. He is such a good boy. Right now he is playing with Dillan. So Dillan is a happy kitten who loves to bite my bra LOL. This is good. This is really really good. Sarah, I think I'm keeping the cat LOL.

I'm so glad to hear he's finally improving! Yea! Poor Abby. He's gone through so much. Give him some extra cuddles and catnip from me!

Well, finally I see improvement. The skin is looking better, so the tablets are definitely working, and yes, Lamisil was burning his skin. Now we're talking!!!! Sara......he is yours hon...you want him? I wouldn't sell him to you, I'd give it to you, ringworm and all!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is right.  I am sure it will take some time for his hair to come back but he is still a handsome man........He is our Abby.........

I am so very sad that Abby is still having this problem. I don't know anything about this type of skin problem. Just like I didn't know about proper nutrition, until you greatly helped educate me. I was alway be so grateful to you for your knowledge. I just hope you find an answer to poor Abby's problem. I know you will though, as you are a fabulous Momma to your kitties. I am so glad your other kitty Dillan is fine. I had to laugh just a little about Dillan being naughty and eating the plants from the fish tank. I though know it scared you, when Dillan threw up and you thought OMG IBD. So, thank God Dillan just ate too many plants. Keep us posted on Abby. He is such a beautiful kitty. Sarah, I told you S was a trooper, and if I didn't, I'm reminding you that!!! That cat will live 40 years. Wait for it!!! I'm glad he is back in the water dish. It's his happy routine, isn't it? :)

S is pretty much back to normal.  He still has a slight limp but that is getting better too.  I was very lucky he didnt have anything major wrong.  He is back in the water dish now!!!!  He ambushed the beagle this morning.......she was not pleased and "smiled" at him!!!!!!!!!!  She can be such an ole bag!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL

Yes, here is the word:

I could not wait for Thursday’s appt, and took him to the vet on Monday after noticing both his ears, part of his head and that one spot on his shoulder showing darkening of the skin, redness, massive hair loss and swelling. My cat is still very itchy but the lesions don’t even look like ringworm anymore. So, the vet looked at it, and said that the topical treatment (Lamisil) was burning my cat’s skin. I looked it up and it can happen with Lamisil. Have you noticed how sensitive cats can be? So, no more medicated shampoo, no more topical treatment AND I ought to increase his food amounts. Vet believes more food will strengthen Abby’s immune system, and he said to continue on with the raw food.  Abby is now taking Fluconazole once a day with food. He is a good cat…….. lets me give him the tablets; but it all goes back to when he was a tiny kitten and I had to start the meds for his IBD, so he is used to it which, in the middle of this disaster, is a good thing. I'm supposed to call if he gets worse but I have an appointment in 2 weeks. If he gets worse he will be referred.

Honestly, I have never in my life seen this before. I have seen ringworm in dogs and cats but never owned a cat that somehow got this disease. So, to me, everything I see is concerning.  At first, his lesions looked like ringworm, but now it just looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The cat is, of course, not happy about this and is very uncomfortable. He is still eating and acting normal. It’s just the itchiness (I notice because he keeps shaking his head) and everything that’s making him miserable.

Dillan is fine!!! How can you explain that? Lol This one spent an entire afternoon on Tuesday eating aquarium plants because my husband had been doing water change for all out fish tanks.  There were plants on the floor so Dillan ate a couple. Then, at night I found out Dillan had been vomiting, so I thought ‘Oh Cr ap, IBD!!!!!’ LOL When I looked closer, I saw aquarium plants with undigested food. I seriously wanted to spank him for being a naughty boy. He now playing with paper. Think he’ll eat it? lol

I think seeing a Dermatologist is an excellent idea. I sure hope they find out soon what's going on with him so they can fix it!
Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I've been getting these stupid headaches, bleh.
Anyway, I'm still rooting for Abby and Dillan, and you too, of course, PK! I hope everyone will be back to normal in no time!

I would love to travel first class!!!  I ahve always flown charter flights.....I am a big chicken when it comes to flying so just book me a flight with an airline that will get me there and back without any trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jade, you have nothing to apologize for.  I try not to make Abby’s illness my main focus because this isn’t life threatening and he is acting like Abby kitty. It is very uncomfortable to have a sick cat, whatever the condition is, but it could be worse, like when he had that terrible Colitis. It is my pleasure to try and help your kitty. You’re a good momma.

BP, you always find the positive in everything, my darling. What would I do without you? So, you sending me the bomb or what? Oh wait, I know what you’ll send to my house………you’ll send AMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol  Adivine? LOL Dime que no!!! LOL


As to my cat, he keeps licking his left paw, the one that is all white, on a side. Every time I look at the paw, I see nothing, but he is just licking it and licking it. It's wet all the time, that part of the paw. It isn't an injury. Maybe the 'thing' is spreading to the paw? I'm telling ya...I'll end up with a Sphinx cat. Those are expensive. Anybody want mine?

Sara, you offered to visit me and take care of my cat's ringworm or whatever it is he has. You wanna travel first class? What airline do you prefer? Tell me, cuz I'm getting you that ticket ASAP!!!!!!!!! lol

Wow! I bet everybody IS confused! I would be too....I would think that it's a good sign that Abby is acting normal for the most part. I hope you get good news or at least better news than expected at the dermatologist :)
