I saw your comment about the cat puking in the shoes-my cat Butters actually did this! In my finace's Harley-Davidson engineer riding boots!! I laughed so hard I had to sit down on the floor!! Needless to say they weren't kept at the edge of the couch any more and he didn't laugh...
Her fur /hair is actually a bit longer than it looks ,she loses a lot it gets everywhere the Dh did brush her, but her shou lder area is still sore snd she wont let us touch her back, I am wondering what size needle they used I amgoing in tomorrow to speak to them .So its from her ingesting her fur as she grooms, then she spits it back up, I guessed it was something like that ,I havent noticed this yet unless she is hiding away spitting up in the closets ...yuck well I hopoe its not in my shoes, I dont mind if she spits in the DH's
Margy, you may not have to worry too much about this since your kitty is fairly short haired. At least he looked short haired in the picture. Cats will ingest their fur when grooming themselves and this is usually a bit more of a problem with med/long haired cats. It will usually pass through the system, but sometimes there's a build up in the stomach and kitty will throw it up. You can help Tweety out by brushing him and capturing the loose fur especially when he starts to shed when the weather warms up.
If they hork up a hairball, you just clean it up.
Its like a wad of hair stuck together. Different cats get them in differing amounts. Once in a while it is probably normal, too much and you can get medicine from a vet for them.
