a week since my Kiya was spayed, help

My female cat Kiya is 7 months and got fixed a week ago as of Friday (yesterday marked a week) My male kitten (5 months) stayed at a friends till Thursday (thanksgiving) and before he came home I noticed she was a bit swollen still but looked a lot better and it was six days she has the cone on, so I removed it the night before thanksgiving and just noticed that she had a bit of a hard spot on her belly. Tonight I noticed her stomach is more puffy, but not hard like the one spot is near her incision, and she has yellow stuff kinfa coming out of the cut and it looks like it is a bit more red. They have been playing around and I saw on the paper that rough play should be limited for the next few days, which I thought she was fine because it was looking healed up for the most part... So I don't know what to do I cannot afford another surgery tomorrow, I put the cone back on and separated them once again. I plan to take her in for them to take a look, but does anyone have advice or an idea if it's still healing or has had experience with this?? I tried hard to keep them apart but the friend of mine couldn't take anymore cat sitting, so any advice please share...

This sounds like an infection. It could be due to something that happened at a vets. Typically, a spay only takes a max of 72 hours to seal and a week to heal. Swelling should only last the first 48 hours. Put ice on her belly if you can to slow the infection, if there is one, and take her ASAP!

yes please take kitty back to be seen again, there won't be a charge for this b/c it is a post surgery exam!!!! this sounds very much like an infection, and I really doubt any surgery would be involved, she should only need an antibiotic. But this needs to be dealt with right now ASAP.... Just be forewarned...do NOT allow the Vets to give the injection antibiotic...called convienia...this is a dangerous drug. go for the daily tablets instead!!!!
good luck to kitty today!!!!
