anyone knowing about fatty liver disease

my cat was lot for a month. she lost 1/2 of her pounds.(she went from weighing 14 lbs to about 6 pounds) after I foudn her she was ok but then she had a problem with her liver. was this caused by fatty liver disease. the vet put her on some meds and it cleared up but I wasnt sure. they told me what it was in but I didnt understand as they were speaking portuguese. thanks

what a great explanation! It is exactly what happened to her. being such a fat girl and being lost she lost so much weight and this is what happened to her. she is now fine. I love this series of lectures! I am downloading all of them! And thank you for the explanation. ot was right on track....she sure looked great but that loss of weight on her big size was just not good!!!

Just wanna ask you something - Where did you take her to the vet and found  portuguese speaking people?
Do you have Brazilian/Portuguese vets attending in your country?
It caught my atention because I'm the only Brazilian on this forum and probably the only portuguse native speaker as well...

I am taking care of 8 feral cats and I love them dearly. now one of them was acting sort of ill and I mentioned to my friend this and it seems that she has calchivirus. now how do I treat this in a feral cat? none of the others have seems to display this. he is not eating and is drooling (I hat a cat before and she had this so I recognize it).he was also sneezing a bit but not too much. What can I do for Rocky my little black polydactle  I am worried about him but what can I do for a feral cat as he will not let me get close to him.
