cat attacking cat

Here is my situation. I have four cats. 2 siblings are almost 7 years old and the other 2 siblings are almost 4 years old. We all lived together peacefully in an apartment until I bought a house in June. For the first week I kept the 4 of them downstairs in the cat room I had made for them which has 4 litter boxes, 4 beds, some cardboard boxes and all of their food and water dishes. After the first week I let them explore one room at a time in the house. The cat room is a sectioned off room in the finished basement. I installed a cat door so they could all come and go between the upstairs or downstairs at their leisure. All of the cats but one, the male 7 year adjusted to the house pretty quickly. The male 7 year old would not come out from under my bed for days. I had to bring his food, water and litter my bedroom. I let him be alone in my room for a few days. During which if I would open the door my male 4 year old would run under the bed and hit him until I was able to get him out from there with the older cat not fighting back. I decided that I would have to keep them separate since this was getting out of hand and I didn't want the older cat stuck in my bedroom forever. For a weekend I left the 3 other cats downstairs with the cat door locked. The older cat finally came out and did his own exploring. I tried integrating them again and the 4 year old would chase him back under the bed and start beating him up again. I don't want to subject the older cat to this so I figured they'd have to remain separated. I tried Feliway difusers in 2 outlets in the house and that did not work at all. I waited 2 weeks to integrate and then again after 30 days to get them near each other but the same outcome.

It's now been 5 months of this behavior and I don't know what to do. I have to lock the older cat in the room just to let the other cat come upstairs. I switch this every couple hours when I am home and every other day when I am working. When I do let him up he runs to the bedroom door and stays there for hours just waiting. Like he has no desire to do anything else but attack the older cat. There has been a few times when he got passed us if we were getting something out of the bedroom and he'd go right under the bed and start attacking. Last week when my fiancee was bringing the laundry downstairs the cat got passed him and made it under the bed and severely attacked the older cat to the point that the bed was shaking. The hissing and growling coming out of him was something I've never heard before. He was hitting him to hard and again the older cat did not defend himself. I tried to break it up by banging on the ground and making loud noises. It was terrifying. He has become obsessed with hurting someone who he always got along with and I don't know how to fix it.

After this last attack my vet suggested kitty valuim and he has been taking it for 7 days but he still waits outside of the bedroom door for a chance to get in there. I don't know what to do. He doesn't beat up either of the other 2 cats. Any advice would be appreciated.

when you get this situation, you dont need to give them away!..

solution:

when cooking _frying chicken or fish..get a cotton and get it wet with the oil left over of the frying chicken_fish

clean the paws of your cats with this wet cotton, tis way when they like their paws and their body they will smell all the same.
remember cats dont recognized "faces" thy know you by your smell....only the smell..

also, you can  clean the paws with olive oil   and ey all be happy again...

In a similar situation, I gave away the aggressor.  He is now the beloved and spoiled pet of my aunt and uncle, doing much better with them (as sole cat in the household) than he ever did with me.  In my multi-cat world, he felt he had to keep order.  He still feels it (at my aunt's, he chases the neighbor's cat away) but he doesn't have to act on it very often, and with the people, he is a big, affectionate baby boy.
