You have a good point. I'm currently pregnant with my first child. Have two cats and am praying they will NOT be stressed although I'm almost sure they will be. Hopefully my cats love their litter boxes way too much to let a kid stress them out like that lol
My friend's cat was pooping in inappropriate places too. we ruled out that
the pan was too full, we thought it was stress because she has a busy little
4 yr old boy. try to rule out any stress or food issues and then a vet visit
might be in order to make sure nothing's wrong. I read that these issues
are the #1 reason cats end up at the pound and that breaks my heart!! good
luck with your girl, i hope i helped somewhat! let me know.
I agree with PK it sounds most likely an upset tummy, & if its ongoing & theres no obvious cause like a sudden change in her diet or something else shes possibly eaten, such as flea treatment not agreeing with her?? , then she needs to see a Vet asap, as it looks very likely that she is ill,
Theres is a slight possibility that it could actually be a flea infestation & that needs treating, I've had a Cat that reacted to fleas with an upset tummy, & so had accidents & looking thoroughly miserable, & also climbing onto tables & benches, which was something she hadn't previously done........ it was a shock to us, as she was very old & a house Cat, but we later found out our friends house Cat had caught them from another friend.......a flea had traveled from our friends houses with the owners, & came with our friend when she was Cat sitting whilst we were away......so maybe check her for fleas & I can highly recommend the program anti flea jab.....either way, it looks like she needs a trip to the vets
good luck
What are you feeding her?
I am going to go with she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. Yes, when a cat poops or pees outside the box it is because the animal is either sick or some behavioral issues exist and I honestly don't think this is the case. I'd say she is sick. Any other symptoms that you can recall?
