has my kitten been mistreated

I have 19 week old kitten, I had her wen she was 6 weeks old off my mam from her cat who had 4 she's and a tom,I had her with 1 of her sisters and her brother I then give her and her brother to my brothers girlfriend wen she was 11 weeks old but then she started moaning about her saying all she does is cry and break things so I had her back. Since then she's been acting differently to what she was wen I had her and wen my mam had her. Before she would cuddle ne1 always be very happy and playful but now if she knocks some thing down she cowers dwn shaking in the corner. She's peed on my bed if she's heard a bang because its frightned her And she hisses growls and spits at ne1 who goes near her only me and my daughter she will go by and sometimes my mother. I take her in next door to my mothers to see her 2 other sisters and the mother cat but she gets very scared and hides nd goes nuts basically hissing growling at my mothers cats, until she's back in my house.its not she scared of cats because I have her other sister in mine. I got a strong feeling she was hit about and that's why she's acting like this. Any idea what I can do to make her feel ok around other people and cats

Thank you for your advice.I will do as you have said hopefully she will b fine soon. Her and her sister will always have a loving home with me :). I had a word with the girl who had my  precious chloe and she denys hurting her but I no she has. She didn't like chloe coz of her colour she is a black and grey tabby and the girl only like ginger animals.

yes #*@#* it does sound very much like this dear little girl was mistreated and punished for just being a playful little kitten, this makes me so #*@# angry to say the least, I am glad she is now is a safe and loving home.
This will take time, lots of time and gentle patience, she has been traumatized....keep her away from anything that causes her anxiety, give her a space of her own if she needs to go and hide at times, keep gently petting and hugging her and talking softly to her...never raise your voice and scare her. she will come around and learn she is no longer in danger but it could take a good length of time and a great deal of loving patience. bless you dear hear♥
