how do I help my cat to stop scratching her flea bites?

I have a 10 month old kitten and we have been battling fleas with the other 3 cats and 1 dog. We have gotten the fleas almost under control but the kitten is scratching so badly that under her neck she has scratched herself so raw she's off and on bleeding. Ive been giving her flea baths, trimmed her nails, I just started a flea medicine and I also have been putting a triple antibiotic on the marks and been putting a sock on it so she can't lick it off or scratch while the medicine is on her and then I take the sock off and she starts scratching again. I can't take seeing her like this no more. Please someone help us get my babygirl better.

What flea medicine did you use?  See if your vet will sell you Frontline or Revolution for all the cats and the dog.  Over-the-counter products just don't do as much and some aren't even safe. Once all the animals have one of the two I mentioned, the fleas will start to die out of the environment.  Also, vacuum everything including the furniture, wash all the bedding (animal and human), and even consider bombing the house.  While this is going on, you might consider boarding the cat at the vet's for a while to let her heal up.
