mirical kitty

there has been a stray kitty roaming around the neighborhood. no one knows where it came from. I think someone dumpped him off and abanded him. after a week i notitst a lump on his cheack it looked horrible but within the next week it went down. another few days to a week goes by and he shows up with what looked at first to be some kind of k-nine bight. around his neck and just below his ear. as if he exscaped the jaws of a animal atack. but now that a few days went by it looks like what was on his face. there is visible woms that have some blood and puss under the neck but under the ear it is a big lump that looks as though there is something in it. in the center of the lump there is white puss that bubbles kind of and in the center of that is somethin black that comes and goes visibly. my mom wont let us have a pet untill we get more finatually stable. and i know there is probably nothing i can do for it but my questions are what is this and would it be harmful to be arround the kitty or not. please if any one has any suggestions i would be very greatful to you. thanks to all who take the time out to read these questions God Bless You!!!

I see your family cannot financially afford to have a pet right now but I can see tell you have a heart for this poor stray kitty.  So, you may want to copy and paste this link then once on the page, scroll down to the links provided where certain organizations give medical help to animals even when you can't afford it.: http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Pets/RESOURCES-TO-HELP-PAY-FOR-VET-CARE/show/535?cid=2

Poor little kitten!  What you are seeing is most likely fly larvae.  There can be many, such as maggots, or one, called a warble.  They rise up to breathe out of the air hole, then duck back down for safety.  These larvae are definitely gross, but won't hurt you if you touch them or the kitten.  You will need to take him to the vet for removal.  It sounds like it would be easy to just pull it out, but it doesn't work that way.  They anchor themselves in securely, and you would most likely kill the worm trying to get it out.  This would cause an infection and abscess.  If you are unable to keep the kitten, I would suggest maybe trying to give it to an animal shelter to get it some help.
