my baby's health

There has been a change in my cat's behavior in the past two days.  She is usually an outgoing and active cat who likes to run and chase everything.  Yesterday and today, she has been acting strange.  She will not come out of her little condo and she barely makes a noise. She also does this thing where it looks like she is gaging for a quick second and then she is fine.  She hasn't been eating a lot and her breath has been really bad.  I will make an appointment with the vet as soon as I can, but I want get an idea of what this can be.

Sounds like she may have a bad fur ball. Sometimes they can have a hard time with them. It could also be something else. I am glad you are going to take her to the vet.
