renal cat

I have a 14 yr old cat that was just diagnosed with renal failure.I saw the article that had a remedy that was used in human dialysis  and would like to find out where to get it.I have also picked up a herbal remedy called tripsy.It has not arrived yet and I would like your opinion(s) on it.It is available from pet wellbeing and can be found on-line,with several positive reviews.Thank you for your time and interest.

hi dp and welcome...so sorry about your kitty. I really don't have any idea what human dialysis remedy that you read about?? was it on this MH site?
and unfortunately I don't know anything about the herb Tripsy, please have your Vet look at the ingredients before you use, causing extra urination is not always a good thing with renal disease.

We gave our kitty Calamity Jane sub-q fluids for over 2 years (every 2 - 3 days) when her kidneys function got weak.  The vet showed us how and saved us a lot of money on office visits.  He also provided IV bags of Ringer's Lactate solution, which he recommended for helping kitty.

Cammie made it to 21 years 4 months before a pair of stroked laid her down for good.

Yes, the remedy was in a review of azodyl that was how I found this site and thank you for your help.I am going to run this by a vet and use it very cautiously until I see it doesn't harm teddy.IU will also check out the web-site you gave me for more ideas.
