sick 16+year old kitty

ok...now i know my kitty is still sick...she wasnt using her litter box...which is usually a sign of a UTI, so the vet gave her amoxicillan, we finished the bottle...and she is still not using the litter box...she went pee in an empty laundry basket, and i saw what looked like a piece of greenish colored pus...is it still another UTI...and the amoxocillian didnt work for her...or could it be something else more serious...she has always had problems with UTI's...   any suggestions?  thanks   Amy

Hon, I think he needs a stronger antibiotic hate to say it but he needs to go back to the vet. Sorry I can't tell you more but I've never heard of a green pee situation with a cat! But the puss does mean a UTI. The only question is whether there's an additional kidney problem there.

Agreed.  Go back to the vet and see if he can give you something stronger, as well as look more deeply into the cat's illness/infection.

i think you are right about stronger antibiotic..because she has had so many uti's in the past, i am sure amox. doesnt do much for her now... but the vet did tell me if this doesnt work to bring her back for some testing, but i think i will ask for stronger med first..then get radical with it if needed..thanks guys...
