think its that kitty cold again??

hi my cat dash is 1yrs old he will be 2 in jan as of sat. we noticed he was sleeping alot when normaly playing with our other 4 yr old cat he has also not ate and drank 2day(sunday) for about 2mins his gums r pink and he has also pee'd 2 times sat and 2day sun no poop and not eating almost acts like things smell really bad he also seems warm 2 me he now has been laying on the couch for 10hrs switchn spots here n there I been trying 2 listen 2 his breathing and i cant hear any crackle or noise eyes seem ok but my gut is telling me his is getn this upper infection he had when i adopted him im not sure wut it was called that he had but i do remember it was something that didnt present it self till out of the shelther and was only contagious in other cats not dogs he was very sick almost lost him but the shleter took him back and treated him and also gave me meds for my other cat that got ill 2 so being i have a little of this med left i gave both cats some lastnite and 2day with no change in dash I dont know wut 2 do he seems 2 be ok with just sleeping almost like he is sleeping it off b4 i posted here i read the list of things that u should take yer cat 2 the vet instead of waitn for a comment back my cat matched none.....he has pink gums not eating but has drank has pee'd no throwing up  walking fine just a lill slow , do u think its this cold thingy creeping up on him again?? :  (

Hi braveheart, I remember you and Dash.  How is he acting today?  Of course you know him best and if you think he's acting odd, then something is definitely up.  If he's still not eating, I would make an appt with the vet.  As I'm sure you know, very important for a cat to eat and if he hasn't, get some baby food or mix some water with his wet food and try to syringe some of that in him until your appt.  Or put some tuna juice on his food to encourage eating.  Anything you can think of.  

And also, I'd stop with the meds since you don't know what's wrong, okay?  Please let us know how Dash is doing!

hi there 2day is about the same with dash he did go poop no eating again but drinking when i get him moving i almost think he has an ear ache or this upper res. again but im not seeing cold like things such as sneezing runny nose watery eyes but he is acting like he did when he was sick a yr ago grrrrrr i aint slept good in a few days im broke but ima take him in 2morrow if he hasnt improved i have went threw every possible thing and cant come up with why my cat is sleeping sleeping sleeping guess ima find out 2morro i hate going trew this all my pets i have 5 i been so lucky with as in health then these past 6 yrs i had 2 cats that got that bad food n their kidneys were bad treated them everyday with ways they hated 2 have one get out of the house n hit by a car n the other one passed last jan so lost my 1st 2 babies i had sense i was a teen now im in my 30s I have 2 cats again n my lovelys cody chloe n sammy (dogs) cody is goin on 11 that freaks me out my chloe shes 6 n already haven hip issues then sam my 9 yr is goin blind I luv these animal as my kids n seeing them get old n their heath fail ***** or just 2 have health issues just ***** even more now a days i struggle just 2 keep me alive I know sum of u r saying then y have so many pets n my answer is this I can prrovide a home n meals n love for my pets but no matter how poor or rich u are keeping them healthy is very costly without these guys in my life im affraid of the person i would of been they r the reason i smile in bad times they r my heart! Ima pray 4 everyones pets who r goin threw a hard time n the owners n my self n my dash becuz we n these lill guys n they need us ....i will let everyone no how dash is 2morro after our visit 2 the vet! god bless everyone!

Aw, no, we understand hard times and no one is going to question you having pets.  Hard times are everywhere these days, but that doesn't mean we give up our babies who we love and have had for years.  Our circumstances are different 5yrs later with Jade, but are we going to give her up?...of course not!  We just do our best.  I'm so sorry for the loss of your two childhood kitties.  They had you to love them and a good long life.  You're a very caring mom to your babies.  

Listen, I am concerned with how long your cat hasn't eaten and would really encourage you to get some food into your boy. Cats can go into organ failure without sustenance so...run to the store if you have to and get some beef or chicken baby food and a syringe if you don't have one and see if you can get him to eat or syringe into the side of his mouth.  With Dash being sick before, I think you probably have experience with this?  This is too many days without eating, though.

hi there just got home with dash is was 89bux so whewwww not 2 bad and they gave him i v fluids n sum anti.bi clavamox said he has a sinus infection but wanted 2 take blood cuz commoly cats dont become so un atcive like dash did but i passed on the blood work 1 i pretty much know my cat n he likes 2 sleep wen he is sick 2 it was 160 just 4 blood work so he is on this clavamox 4 14 days we should c him get better with in 2-3 days if not 2 take him back in but let me just say my dash sense friday hasnt rub'd on me n the whole time at the vet he was walking around n meow'n at me n rubn his face n body on me lol mayb thankn me who knows then i get him home n he frickn ate lol i only let him eat mayb 2 spoon fulls of food didnt want him 2 over do it and he pee'd and he jumpd up on his tower n layd down in the past he layd where i put him so wooo hoooo all good things 2day hope he remains on this track!
