Blood in feces

by KIMKO, Aug 04, 2009 02:45PM
Hi , Recently i have had a lot of problems with my bowls. I am 19 years old , and have been following the gluten-free diet strictly for the past 6 years and maybe more. Last year i started experiencing severe pain in my abdomen and and the bottom of my belly, I also suffered from chronic bladder infections. After a few test i was told that i had endometriosis and i was prescribed the depo provera shot and it got rid of my belly pain and the pain i was experiencing during intercourse. But it didn't get rid of my abdominal pain. It isn't the same pain that i experience when i eat something with gluten in it(It isn't as bad as that), but it is still troubling. For the past year i have been really constipated i was told to take a orange like syrup that is basically just sugar. When i take it, i experience diarhea (diarrhea), and it makes me feel really sick It puts me in a lot of pain as if someone was trying to pull my intestine out of me (GOSH!) Recently I've noticed that there is blood in my feces. I am getting quite worried since sometime the pain i feel is so horrible it makes me trow up. Can someone help me please? I also feel verry tired and week I have gained a lot of wait, but i am told it is because of the depo provera shot. My mom and my two sisters suffer from trhyroid gland problems. Sorry if this is a long post but i just want to put it all out there so someone could help me! Thanks

I understand some of your issues. I have been on a gluten free diet for 10 years. My sister, brother, nephew, and two grandchildren, are celiac. each of us are a little different in what we can eat. I have struggled with diarhea (diarrhea), and bladder issues for years, always thinking I got into some wheat somehow. Then I started looking at other food. I started elimating sugar, soy, diary, but I didn't understand why these foods whould effect me. A few months ago my daughter handed me a book titled " Breaking the Vicious Cycle", You may want to check out the website www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info. It will require you to give up carbs. but you get to walk by bathrooms. Ah freedom! Let me know how it works for you
