DH Dapsone treatment

I have been on 100mg of dapsone for about 2 weeks and although my  DH rash is disappearing I still am not free of itch and now really dry blotchy skin. How long does it take to get complete relief? This was my first outbreak after  5 years free. I feel I just consumed a little wheat in French fries that were coated (*wks. ago)

If it is down to the dry purplish skin, keep it moisturized with Burt's Bees Hand Repair Creme for as long as it takes to go away. On my hands, for instance, depending on how much sun exposure I get and how often I wash my hands or do the dishes etc, it can take up to several months for the skin to heal. Skin that has less reason to be repeatedly irritated will heal faster. Also keep it from getting overly warm or sweaty. Keep it from coming in contact with chemicals, wool, cedar or fragrances.

Also, for me, Burt's Bees Hand Repair Creme worked better than prescription cremes. It is more healing, less irritating and in the long run it will not thin the skin such as steroid cremes do.
